Hi!

I am Anna Akerlund, and I have always loved working with beautiful Swimwear, Beachwear and Lingerie!

After having my two daughters, I set up PoolSide Agency focusing on representing, selling and managing a select few luxury brands for Women’s Swimwear, Beachwear and Intimate Apparel in the UK. I work in close relationship with these brands, growing and selling them to a large number of UK and Irish retailers, large and small department stores, e-stores and boutiques. I love being able to combine my product knowledge with managing and growing these wonderful brands whilst meeting some truly amazing customers. I feel like I learn something new every day!

I have a long background in Women’s Intimate Apparel and Swimwear. I went to De Montfort University and gained an Honours degree in Fashion & Textiles - Contour Design.

I worked as a Lingerie and Swimwear Buyer- for GUS Home Shopping Group (Very) in Manchester. Over the years I worked across this large department buying brands and own label. As one of the market leaders, I managed large budget buying, product development with 200+ product options per season and sourcing in the Far East and Europe.

I also worked as the Lingerie and Nightwear Buyer for George at ASDA/ WalMart Group, sourcing, product development and range building for their own label ranges sold in thousands of stores world wide.

For me, it is important the brands I represent and sell have integrity, an interesting story to tell and consistently provide the highest standard of fit and quality.
